Our Story
From Personal Experience to a Portfolio Built With Care
Langit Stays grew from a simple observation: finding a truly suitable place to stay in Malaysia — one that matched both the setting you imagined and the standard you expected — was more difficult than it needed to be. Our founders had spent years travelling across Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for work and leisure, and had learned, through trial and experience, how much a well-chosen property shapes everything that follows.
The company was established in 2017 from our Kuala Lumpur office. We began with a single longhouse property in Selangor, introduced to us by a property owner whose approach to hospitality matched our own. Over the following years we expanded thoughtfully, adding only those properties we would be comfortable recommending to someone we knew personally.
Our work today remains anchored in that same principle. We speak with guests, visit properties, and take care with the details that most rental platforms leave to chance. Each stay in our portfolio has been assessed by our team, and every guest receives considered attention rather than automated responses.

We do not seek to list as many properties as possible. We prefer a small portfolio where every option meets the standard we would apply to our own accommodation.

Razif manages property relationships, logistics, and the day-to-day coordination that keeps stays running smoothly. His previous work in rural tourism development across Selangor informs how we support each property owner.

Property Assessment Protocol
Every property is assessed in person by a team member before joining the portfolio. We evaluate structural integrity, cleanliness standards, safety provisions, and the quality of included services.
Post-Stay Review Process
We follow up with guests after each stay and review their feedback carefully. Properties that fall below our expected standard are paused from availability while we work with owners to resolve the issues raised.
Data Privacy Commitment
Guest information is held securely and used only for booking and communication purposes. We do not share personal data with third parties outside of direct booking requirements, and we comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Tourism Industry Compliance
We operate in accordance with Malaysian Tourism Board guidelines and maintain all required registrations for property rental services. Our properties comply with relevant local authority requirements in each district they operate.
Staff Welfare Standards
Where properties include household staff or guides, we confirm with property owners that staff are employed under fair terms, paid appropriately, and treated with regard. This is a condition of being part of our portfolio.
Insurance & Safety Requirements
All properties carry appropriate liability insurance. We verify fire safety equipment, emergency procedures, and first aid provision at each property during our assessment visits and at subsequent review intervals.
